Hello Bead Friends,
We are back with a new Tutorial , this time we will continue our adventure in the beadweaving world using Miyuki beads. Today we will make our brand new Willow Earrings with fringes, i've called them like this because they remind me of a weeping willow. I've been inspired by the beadwork of the native indians that have been weaving seed beads for centuries and are among the first to work them into jewelry. Many of the stitches that we use nowadays in beadweaving are the same that Natives used centuries ago. Today's project is perfect for beginners and it will give you a chance to learn to basic stitches for beadweaving: brick stitch for the triangle and fringe stitch for the fringe. To get a perfect results its imperative that you use the correct threads, as i say in the tutorial i used Fireline Thread for the triangle and KO thread for the fringes.
Here is the list of materials you will need:
- Fireline Thread size 0.006in
- KO Thread size 0.005in
- Needles size 10
- Miyuki Delica beads in 4 colors (3gr for each color)
- 2 hook earring findings
